DRIVING DIRECTIONS

The Tides 13U team plays the majority of their games at Moses Brown School in Providence, RI and the Tides 14U team plays the majority of their games at Pilgrim High School in Warwick and North Kingstown High School.  We do indoor hitting 1 day a week at Extra Innings in Warwick, RI and the teams will have 1 or 2 outdoor practices a week, and then play games on the weekends.  The directions listed below are for fields or facilities that we may play at during the course of the year or are used by our opponents.

Directions for TRYOUTS - Mickey Stevens Baseball Complex - Warwick, RI

Address:  975 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 (Use www.mapquest.com for directions from your address.)

From Route 95 SOUTH - Take EXIT 10A.  This is Route 117 East.  At approximately 1.8 miles, bear left at the lights at Wildes Corner (just past Dave's Market).  You will also see a hockey arena, in order to get to the baseball fields you will want to take the last left before Thayer Arena.  Then Take the first right and follow this road into the complex. 

McGinn Field/Park - Davisville Middle School, North Kingstown

from I-95 South. 95 South to Exit 9 (Route 4 South), exit is located on the left of the highway.  Proceed to take Exit 7 off of Route 4, and then Bear Left onto Route 403 (Devils Foot Road).  Go over a bridge and take a left onto School Street.  A 1/2 mile down the road will be Davisville Middle School and McGinn Park.  You can park on the right or behind the school.

Moses Brown School, Providence, RI

Moses Brown School - FROM THE NORTH:
Take Interstate 95 south. Take Exit 24 (Branch Avenue) bearing left at the end of the exit. Continue straight until you come to light, staying to the far right. Proceed through light. (You will pass a fire station.) This will take you onto North Main Street. Continue straight through three sets of traffic lights. When you come to the fourth light, get into the far left lane and take a left onto Olney Street. Continue straight on Olney until you come to the traffic light. At the light, take a right onto Hope Street. Continue on Hope Street, bearing left at fork in road. At the next traffic light, make a left onto Lloyd Avenue. The school entrance is located on the left between the brick pillars.

Moses Brown School - FROM THE EAST:
Take Interstate 195 west to Exit 3 (Gano Street/India Point). At the end of the exit take a right at the traffic light. Proceed up Gano Street through three more traffic lights and three stop signs. At the third stop sign (Lloyd Avenue) turn left. Continue straight on Lloyd Avenue. The entrance to the school is on your right between the brick pillars.

Moses Brown School - FROM THE SOUTH:
Take Interstate 95 north onto Interstate 195 east. Take Exit 3 (Gano Street). At the end of the exit take a right and travel through four sets of lights. After the fourth set of lights, continue to the third stop sign and make a left onto Lloyd Avenue. Continue straight on Lloyd Avenue. The entrance to the school is on your right between the brick pillars.

McCarthy Stadium, West Warwick, RI

From the South: Take Route 95 North to Exit 11 (Route 295 North). Immediately take Exit 1(Route 113 West). At the end of the exit follow Route 113 for three traffic lights (Past the RI Mall). Take a left at third traffic light onto Route 2 South. Follow Route 2 South for approximately two miles. Take a right onto Toll Gate Road at Bald Hill Dodge. Follow Toll Gate Road until first traffic light. Proceed through this light onto Providence Street. Follow Providence Street for approximately one mile until you reach Bradford Soapworks. Take a right after Bradford Soapworks onto Hay Street. The field is straight ahead.

JOHNSON & WALES UNIVERSITY - the harbor side recreation & athletic center (basketball, volleyball, wrestling)

from I-95 South. Take Exit 18 (Thurbers Ave.) At the end of the ramp, bear left, following the road to the traffic light, veering right onto Allens Avenue. Follow Allens for 1.1 miles to the Shell gas station on the left. Go left after the gas station onto Harborside Boulevard, and continue 3/10 of a mile to Shipyard street. The entrance to the campus is 500 feet on the left. The gym is the new building on the right.  When you walk into the field house we are located in the small gym on the left.

from  I-95 North. Take Exit 18 (Thurbers Avenue). At the exit ramp, bear right and follow the road to the traffic light, veering right onto Allens Avenue. Follow Allens Avenue for about a mile to the Shell gas station on the left. Take a left after the gas station onto Harborside Boulevard, and continue 3/10 of a mile to Shipyard street. The entrance to the campus is 500 feet on the left. The gym is the large new building on the right.  When you walk into the field house we are located in the small gym on the left.

Bryant College, Smithfield, RI

Bryant College - FROM ROUTE 95 NORTH: Take Route 295 north to Route 7 north (exit 8B). The College is one mile north on the left.

Bryant College - FROM ROUTE 95 SOUTH: Take Route 295 south to Route 7 north (exit 8B). The College is one mile north on the left.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS to North Kingstown High School (NKHS)

School/Field Address - 150 Fairway Drive, North Kingstown, RI 02852-6202

1. 95 South
2. EXIT 9 to Route 4 South
3. Turn LEFT onto OAK HILL ROAD
4. Turn LEFT onto TOWER HILL ROAD/Route 1
5. Turn RIGHT onto ANNAQUATUCKET ROAD
6. Turn LEFT onto FAIRWAY DRIVE
7. The Field is found between the Administration building and the high school.

Directions for RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE - (600 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence, RI 02908)

• RIC From Route 95 North:  Take EXIT 21 (Broadway Exit); turn LEFT at second traffic light (Atwells Avenue).  Follow Atwells Avenue for 1.5 miles to the intersection with Mount Pleasant Avenue.  Turn RIGHT onto Mount Pleasant Avenue.  The College entrance is 1.1 miles ahead on the left.  Drive up into the campus and the baseball field is located near the back of the campus, next to the Field House.

• RIC From Route 95 South:  Take EXIT 21 (Atwells Avenue Exit).  Turn RIGHT onto Atwells Avenue.  Continue on Atwells Avenue for 1.5 miles to the intersection with Mount Pleasant Avenue.  Turn RIGHT onto Mount Pleasant Avenue.  The College entrance is 1.1 miles ahead on the left.

Providence Country Day School, East Providence, RI

Providence Country Day School (PCD) - From north or south of Providence, take Rt. 95 to Rt. 195 East in Providence. Take Exit 8 ”Rumford” which will merge right onto Warren Avenue. Continue to first traffic light (Pawtucket Avenue). Turn right onto Pawtucket Avenue. Travel on Pawtucket Avenue to the next traffic light (Waterman Avenue). Turn right and enter the first driveway on your left.

From east of Providence, take Rt. 195 West to the “Seekonk Route 114A” exit. Upon exiting, bear right onto Rt. 114A, go north about 1/2 mile to the first traffic light. At light, turn left onto County Street. Before the next light, bear right onto Waterman Avenue. The “Providence Country Day” entrance is on the right, just after the East Providence Police Station.

Pilgrim High School, Warwick, RI

Pilgrim High School - From Route 95 North or South, exit at Route 37 East in Warwick. Follow Route 37 towards Post Road (Route 1). Take Post Road North (all the way to the end of Route 37). Stay on Post Road North for about 2 miles until you come to the intersection of Fairfax Drive on the left. There will be a Dunkin Donuts just ahead on the right. If you go pass Dunkin Donuts, then you missed your turn. Take a right onto Fairfax Drive (bear right as you enter the neighborhood) and stay on it for about one mile. The first major intersection will be Pilgrim Drive on the left. Take a left onto Pilgrim Drive. The school is on the left. The baseball and soccer field is to the right of the school. The football field is behind the baseball field. The gym is in the back of the school.

Bishop Hendricken High School, Warwick, RI

Bishop Hendricken High School - Exit at Route 37 East (Exit 14 East). Exit off of Route 37 onto Post Road South (Route 1 South). Stay on Post Road up to the intersection of Airport Road (about one mile). Go left onto Airport Road. Follow Airport Road to intersection with Warwick Avenue (Hoxsie 4-Corners). Take a right onto Warwick Avenue. Follow Warwick Avenue several miles up to merge with Oakland Beach Avenue (Warwick Avenue forks to left, Oakland Beach Avenue to the right). This is just past major shopping plaza on the right (Super Stop and Shop, etc.). Bear right onto Oakland Beach Avenue. School entrance is just down on the left.

Warwick Veterans High School, Warwick, RI

Warwick Vets High School - Exit at Route 37 East (Exit 14 East). Exit off of Route 37 onto Post Road South (Route 1 South). Stay on Post Road up to the intersection of Airport Road (about one mile). Go left onto Airport Road. Follow Airport Road to intersection with Warwick Avenue (Hoxsie 4-Corners). Take a right onto Warwick Avenue. Follow Warwick Avenue several miles up to merge with Oakland Beach Avenue (Warwick Avenue forks to left, Oakland Beach Avenue to the right). This is just past major shopping plaza on the right (Super Stop and Shop, etc.). Bear right onto Oakland Beach Avenue, continue to drive past Bishop Hendricken which you will see on your left and take a right onto West Shore Road at the next traffic light.  Continue on West Shore Road for about 2 1/2 miles and you will see Warwick Vets High School on your right.  The baseball field is located on school grounds.

Directions for Massasoit Community College - Address:  One Massasoit Blvd, Brockton, MA 02302

• 95 North to 495 South via EXIT 6A (toward Cape Cod)

• Proceed to merge onto 24 NORTH via EXIT 7A (toward Boston)

• Take the Route 123 EAST EXIT (EXIT 17A heading toward BROCKTON)

• Follow Route 123 EAST for 2 1/2 miles and at the 8th light move into the middle lane and take a LEFT.

• Immediately move into the right lane and take a RIGHT.

• Go straight thru 8 lights (Route 27 South) for 1.8 miles and take a RIGHT at Massasoit Community College sign.

DIRECTIONS to WEST BRIDGEWATER HIGH SCHOOL.

1. From RHODE ISLAND
2. Take 95 North to 495 South to 24 North.
3. Once on 24 North take EXIT 16A (ROUTE 106 – WEST BRIDGEWATER)
4. Follow Route 106 through 1 set of lights (Blockbuster Video will be on your left)
5. Take the 1^st LEFT after the School and onto HOWARD STREET (Blinking Yellow Light on the corner)
6. Take the first LEFT on Spring Street.
7. Take an immediate LEFT onto the Spring Street School Parking Lot, and the field is at the end of the parking lot.

DIRECTIONS to COVENTRY HIGH SCHOOL.

Directions to Coventry High School - Baseball Field - Address:  40 Reservoir Road, Coventry, RI 02816 (I would recommend using MapQuest for specific directions from your home)

1. From 95, either going North or South
2. Take EXIT 6A (Hopkins Hill Road) and follow Hopkins Hill Road to Route 3 (Tiogue Avenue)
3. At the light at Tiogue Avenue, take a LEFT, then pass two lights and at the third light take a RIGHT onto RESERVOIR ROAD.
4. Go 1/2 mile and the entrance to the school is on your left.

Directions for Quinsigamond Community College – Address – 670 West Boylston Street, Worcester, MA 01606-2092.

1. Route 146 North towards Worcester.
2. Take MILLBURY ST.  toward Interstate 290/MARLBORO/AUBURN.
3. Merge onto I-290 East via the ramp on the LEFT toward SHREWSBURY/MARLBORO.
4. Merge onto I-190 North via EXIT 19 toward ROUTE 12/HOLDEN/FITCHBURG.
5. Take ROUTE 12/GOLD STAR BLVD, EXIT 1 – toward W. BOYLSTON ST.
6. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto GOLD STAR BLVD/MA-12 North and continue to follow MA-12 North, and you should see the college.
7. Baseball field is located on the school grounds up a hill.

Directions for UMass Dartmouth - Address - 285 Old Westport Road, North Dartmouth, MA 02747-2300

• From Providence - Interstate 195 EAST through Fall River, MA to EXIT 12.

• Take a RIGHT off the exit and proceed onto FAUNCE CORNER ROAD.

• Proceed SOUTH, traveling across ROUTE 6 onto OLD WESTPORT ROAD.

• At the fork, BEAR RIGHT, staying on Old Westport Road.

• Campus is 1 Mile on the LEFT.  Baseball Field is located on Campus.

EXTRA INNINGS, Warwick, RI

EXTRA INNINGS - TAKE ROUTE 95 SOUTH:  Take Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd). Take LEFT off exit and travel for 1.1 miles and take a RIGHT onto Illinois Avenue.  Proceed to 69 Illinois Ave, Unit 2 which is 1/10 miles down the road on your right.  PLEASE PARK IN LOT ON SIDE OF THE BUILDING.

TAKE ROUTE 95 NORTH:  Take Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd). Take RIGHT off exit and travel for 1.1 miles and take a RIGHT onto Illinois Avenue.  Proceed to 69 Illinois Ave, Unit 2 which is 1/10 miles down the road on your right.  PLEASE PARK IN LOT ON SIDE OF THE BUILDING.

West Warwick Civic Center

West Warwick Civic Center - Take Route 95 South into Rhode Island and proceed to Route 117, West. ( About 17 miles from the State line. ) The 7th or 8th traffic light, heading West, will be New London Avenue. **** ( FAR RIGHT CORNER: Rectory for Christ the King Church NEAR RIGHT CORNER: "On The ROCKS", a bar / restaurant. NEAR LEFT CORNER: Sunoco Gas Station ) **** Take a right on New London Avenue. Near the top of the hill, you'll see Factory Lane and the sports complex. The Ice Rink is the building on the left.

Directions to Tufts University coming out of Providence, RI - Baseball Field is located slightly off campus.

• Interstate 95 North to 128 North

• Proceed to ROUTE 2 (EXIT 29A)

• Go EAST on ROUTE 2 to the junction of Routes 2 and 16 and turn onto ROUTE 16 EAST (ALEWIFE BROOK PARKWAY)

• Follow ROUTE 16 through two full traffic lights then take the next RIGHT, a sharp turn, onto POWDERHOUSE BOULEVARD. 

• Then Proceed to CURTIS STREET, your second left, which is your second set of lights.

• Follow CURTIS STREET up and over the hill, through a set of lights on the other side, and take a right at a variety store, and move onto GEORGE STREET.

• Follow GEORGE STREET to the first stop sign and take a RIGHT onto COLLEGE AVENUE and you should see HUSKIN FIELD.

• Interstate 195 EAST

• Go over the Braga Bridge

• Take EXIT 5 (Route 138 South Exit) toward N. Tiverton

• Make a slight RIGHT turn onto MILLIKEN BLVD

• MILLIKEN BLVD will become WASHINGTON STREET

• Take another slight RIGHT turn onto S. MAIN STREET

• Turn LEFT onto GLOBE STREET

• Take another slight RIGHT onto FENNER STREET

• Turn LEFT onto SLADE STREET

• End at 900 SLADE STREET, FALL RIVER, MA.

• About 18 miles from Providence, RI.  However, it can be tricky so give yourself some time if you have never been there before.

• Interstate 195

• Proceed to 24 NORTH towards Taunton/Boston EXIT 12 (ROUTE 140 SOUTH to NEW BEDFORD)

• Take EXIT 8 (CHACE Road, FREETOWN)

• Take a LEFT off the ramp and go approximately 2 miles then take another LEFT onto MEMORIAL DRIVE.

• At the top of the hill you will see CENTRAL PARK on the Right.

• IF you pass the Freetown Police Station than you missed Memorial Drive.

Directions to Tewksbury High School, in Tewksbury, MA

From I-495 N:

• Take Rt.-38 exit, exit number 38, towards Lowell/Tewksbury.

• Keep left at the fork in the ramp and then Turn left at lights on to Main St./Rt. 38.

• Go straight down Rt-38 for approx. 3 miles to center of town, and then there will be a Gazebo at the set of lights on your right.

• Take a right onto Pleasant Street

• Go approximately 1 mile down the Pleasant Street and you will see the sign for the High School on your left.  As you approach the school building, notice a path on your left, take this path directly into the field. 

From I-495 S:

• Take Route 38 Exit and follow the above directions.  Note you will also take a left onto Route 38.

From I-93 N:

• Take Dascomb Rd. exit, exit 42.  And then take a left at end of ramp.

• Continue straight towards Tewksbury and follow East St. to a set of traffic lights.

• There will be 2 Little League fields on your right, proceed straight and then take a LEFT onto Pleasant Street.

• There will be a set of lights at the intersection of Pleasant and Route 38, Go straight down Pleasant Street for approximately 1 mile and take a left at Tewksbury Memorial High School sign.

• As you approach the school building, notice a path on your left, take this path directly into the field. 

From I-93 S:

• Take Dascomb Rd. exit, exit 42.  And then take a left at end of ramp.

• Bear right at the yield sign and continue towards Tewksbury. 

• Follow East Street to a set of traffic lights.  You will see 2 Little League fields on your right.  Proceed straight and take a left onto Pleasant Street.

• here will be a set of lights at the intersection of Pleasant and Route 38, Go straight down Pleasant Street for approximately 1 mile and take a left at Tewksbury Memorial High School sign.

• As you approach the school building, notice a path on your left, take this path directly into the field. 

Directions to Hingham Recreation Center, in Hingham, MA

• Address - 210 Central Street, Hingham, MA 02043

• I-93 South to Route 3 South

• EXIT 14 (Rockland/Nantasket)

• Take a LEFT at the end of the ramp.

• Proceed to go thru 3 sets of lights (1st set you will go by Home Depot, 2nd set go by the intersection of Queen Anne's Corner, and the 3rd set of lights is blinking due to the South Fire Station).

• Go approximately 3.5 Miles from the 2nd set of lights on 228.  You will see Signs for "Hingham Town Hall and Police Station," at this point you need to bear LEFT onto CENTRAL Street. (You will notice that most of the traffic continues right to stay on 228.)

• After bearing LEFT, you will see the Town Hall on your RIGHT, the Hingham Recreation Complex is in the back left corner of the building, look for the field.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS for Hope High School, Providence, RI.

1. Address for Hope High School:  324 Hope Street, Providence, RI 02906.  Use www.Mapquest.com

2. 95 NORTH to MEMORIAL BLVD via EXIT 22A toward Downtown Providence.

3. Turn LEFT onto WASHINGTON PL.

4. WASHINGTON PL becomes WATERMAN ST.

5. Turn LEFT onto HOPE STREET.

6. Baseball field is located on the side of the school.

7. This field is also located directly across the street from Moses Brown School, so if you know the way to Moses Brown, then you should know how to get to Hope High School.
