During the 2005 season the Tides 13U team won their initial pool in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with big wins over the Wilmington Yellow Jackets, Tidewater Drillers, and eventual Silver Medal winner Central Florida Indians.  At that point the team advanced to the AAU Championship pool and posted an opening victory against the Carolina Ironhorse, but could not keep the good times rolling as they eventually finished second in their pool and failed to move on.  Overall the team finished 23rd in the country out of 86 teams, and ended the season with a record of 45 wins and just 12 defeats.  Along the way the team beat 5 of the Nation's top 20 teams.  The 14U team competed at Sarasota, Florida, but could not overcome 1 run opening round lose and eventually failed to move on.  The team ended up finishing 2-4 at the Nationals in Florida.
